I'm loved! -- first day of school
Some of my Geometry kids ran up to me today with a petition-- They're going to the administration to ask for a new Algebra II class to be created, with me teaching. They said, "It'll be like a reunion!"
I feel so flattered!
Also, the sixth and seventh graders are so SMALL! I forget every year because they grow up so much by June. But, man, are they tiny.

Congratulations! Although I must say I am not surprised. By the way, I just signed up for a yoga class. Yoga woman, please help me!
Of course you are loved! I love you too!!

You are so fortunate to have kids who believe that a petition to administration will make a difference. Trust me, someday you'll be dealing with convincing kids they matter and can make a difference and miss this time of your life.
And why the hell wouldn't they love you, missy? Seriously!
I love you, too, Emily. No, I mean it... I really, REALLY love you. I know California is supposed to be exciting and all, but remember, I live an hour-and-a-half from BRANSON...
Kevin!! So glad you're here and reading!!!
YEA! It's lovely to hear your voice too!

Whoa! All of a sudden they appeared! I wasn't able to read any comments until just now.
Thanks for the love, you guys. I miss you all so much! I check in with my kids every day, but there are things that don't get said and I miss having that venue. My own fault, I suppose, since I know I can call any member of our family and check in at any time.
You know, Emily, your check ins were some of the most honest in the group.
And as I remember, there probably are things that shouldn't be said!
However, you have my cell phone. Check in with me anytime (with the knowledge that I am two hours ahead of you).
