Getting the Itch to Move Again
So I ask you -
If you could live anywhere, where would you go?
and
If you could teach anywhere, where would you go?

If I could live anywhere it would be upstate NY--trees, mountains--you have not seen real beauty until you've stood in a valley and seen hills covered with autumn colors rolling away from you in all directions.
If I could teach anywhere--right where I am, the eastern shore of virginia.

My aunt (also a teacher) always had this thought that she'd go teach in Alaska where they pay stupid money for teaching, live on ramen noodles and a dream, and come back home with a big chunk of cheese.
I can't say I share that dream, but there's something.
You ought to look at Dept of Defense schools.
I'd live in Central or Northern California (ironic, since I turned down a job there). I'd teach anywhere they need me. Kids are great in any neighborhood.
