Help, Help, Help!!!

Hello everyone!

I remember having a conversation with one or two of you wonderful, spectacular people about a website where students can submit their work to check for plagiarism. My school is very interested in using this service, but I can't remember what the site address was?

If anyone knows what I am talking about...can you please post the website? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

I don't know about a specific site, but I have caught a few by entering a sentence from the paper into google.

Try turnitin.com. They may require a subscription, however.

I usually google suspicious text also. Just like my sister wife.

1. Typing a sentence from the paper (use quotation marks) into google will get you results.

2. www.freeessay.com
3. www.free-essay.com

If you want to stop plagiarism before it starts try:
http://citationmachine.net
-this site helps make works cited pages

www.webenglishteacher.com
This is an absolutely excellent site for resources on any aspect of teaching English. There is a large section about plagiarism under "Writing." There are some really great handouts for students so they can actually see what counts as plagiarism.
